Designed for hybrid picking. Designed for precision. Ideal size (not too small or to big). Engineered thermoplastic blend providing strength, low friction, and long wear. 1.5mm thick. 28mm tall (1.10") and 23mm (0.9") across. Color: brown with blue engravings on both sides for grip.
A sleek design, the Vectrum Nobilis uses a high-performance engineered thermoplastic that provides better wear, increased volume, and speed. The Vectrum model is slightly bigger than a "jazz" pick and smaller than a standard pick offering the perfect fit. Gliding over the strings with its precision point and beveled edges. A comfortable size with mass where needed - between your thumb and finger - and streamlined where it counts - in the tip. This design allows the player to do it all.
MATERIAL & THICKNESS
Dissatisfied with picks that stick and grab the strings? Hate the clack of the pick striking the strings?
The Vectrum Nobilis is made from a higher-end thermoplastic blend providing low friction, long wear, and toughness not commonly found in guitar picks. This self-lubricating material slides and glides over the string(s) with minimum wear and reduced pick noise. The end result is a pick that provides a very balanced tone, minimal pick "drag", and increased volume. A pure joy to play and fantastic for speed. I could not stop playing after making the first prototype with this material. This material is about 4 times as much as standard grade. But, it is worth it!
To provide a secure grip, the Vectrum Nobilis is engraved on both sides right where you need it. (Also, as it warms it naturally clings to the fingers.)
Thickness: 1.5mm*.
IDEAL LENGTH
If you're using a mini/style pick, you know the benefits of that size and the drawbacks. The Vectrum capitalizes on the benefits of the smaller size without being too small. The few millimeters of extra length over a standard mini/jazz pick provides a more natural feel when hybrid picking. The positioning of your hand is more like when finger picking than can be achieved with an up close and personal mini/jazz pick. And importantly, this length helps prevent those nail destroying strikes when more aggressively strumming.
IDEAL MASS
Many picks flatten out across the top (see Image above of the orange standard guitar pick). The Vectrum provides a slightly extended curve at the top to give more mass where it's needed: across for the thumb and vertically for the index finger. And, room for pivoting as you change your attack.
THE STRIKE
A guitar pick needs to work well for strumming and single notes. A good point is excellent for single note picking and speed but too fine of a point can grab the strings when strumming. The Vectrum's distinct tip allows for precision playing while at the same time has enough rounding for ease of strumming.
*Actual thickness varies slightly.
