Top of the line of our Vectrum models. Made from highest grade plastic. Ideal size (not too small or too big). Extremely strong and durable (months of play) with bearing grade low friction. You like that sharp pointy tip. With this plastic it will still be there after hours of playing. 28mm tall (1.10") and 23mm (0.9") across. Color: brown with on both sides for grip.
A sleek design, the Vectrum Apricus uses some of the highest-performance engineered plastic that provides incredible wear resistance, increased volume, and speed (minimal friction). The Vectrum model is slightly bigger than a "jazz" pick and smaller than a standard pick offering the perfect fit. Gliding over the strings with its precision point and beveled edges. A comfortable size with mass where needed - between your thumb and finger - and streamlined where it counts - in the tip. This design allows the player to do it all.
MATERIAL
The Vectrum Apricus is made from Torlin that is near the top of the pyramid for durability and strength. This material has an extremely low friction with an extremely high longevity. When wear does start to show over time, it has a very smooth wear pattern. The toughness of these picks means you will have that point of attack for hours and hours of playing time. The Vectrum Apricus feel and quality shines beyond what guitar players are used to using for picks.
The Vectrum Apricus has a defined and sharp tone that leans on the bright side of the spectrum providing increased volume beyond your everyday pick.
To provide a additional grip, the Vectrum Apricus is engraved on both sides right where you need it.
Thickness: 1.5mm* and 2mm* sizes sold (actual sizes varies within that range as source material has to be reduced to those sizes).
IDEAL LENGTH
If you're using a mini/style pick, you know the benefits of that size and the drawbacks. The Vectrum capitalizes on the benefits of the smaller size without being too small. The few millimeters of extra length over a standard mini/jazz pick provides a more natural feel when hybrid picking. The positioning of your hand is more like when finger picking than can be achieved with an up close and personal mini/jazz pick. And importantly, this length helps prevent those nail destroying strikes when more aggressively strumming.
IDEAL MASS
Many picks flatten out across the top (see Image above of the orange standard guitar pick). The Vectrum provides a slightly extended curve at the top to give more mass where it's needed: across for the thumb and vertically for the index finger. And, room for pivoting as you change your attack.
THE STRIKE
A guitar pick needs to work well for strumming and single notes. A good point is excellent for single note picking and speed but too fine of a point can grab the strings when strumming. The Vectrum's distinct tip allows for precision playing while at the same time has enough rounding for ease of strumming.
*Actual thickness varies slightly.
